Volunteering

You do not need to be a volunteer to come chat with us online. However, if you would like to help others, we can certainly use the help. Come talk to us on IRC or email us at volunteer@onlineguardians.org and let us know what you would like to help with.

All volunteers must adhere to the Online Guardians code of conduct to maintain a pleasant & friendly place for people to seek help or just to relax.

By hitting Submit below, you are agreeing to the following membership agreement: In applying as a volunteer for Online Guardians, you understand that before you are allowed to work in a volunteer capacity you must provide a letter of reference (the type to be determined by the areas of volunteerism you select). This may include, but not be limited to a letter from your local law enforcement agency showing no outstanding warrants or disqualifying convictions or other letter of recommendation/character. If you are applying for membership in the BlackPhoenix division you give Online Guardians permission to order a background check prior to being cleared for special training or active membership. Law enforcement officers must offer proof of position and standing in their agency. Online Guardians reserves the right to accept or reject any application without explanation and your volunteer membership may be terminated at any time and for any reason deemed necessary by the Directors of Online Guardians. Volunteers for Online Guardians will adhere to the Online Guardians Code of Conduct and privacy Policy. You further agree to be bound by this confidentiality agreement, and you understand that unauthorised disclosure of any information that you obtain during the course of your work for Online guardians is a violation of that agreement. In the event of resignation or discharge from Online Guardians, you agree that the confidentiality agreement will continue. All materials and information provided to you by Online Guardians will be returned to Online Guardians at that time, and all materials developed or modified by you during the course of your activities for Online Guardians shall be the property of Online Guardians.
